SMS Consent (A2P 10DLC)
This page describes how Rural Route sends SMS messages and how end users consent to receive them.
What messages you’ll receive
- Route delay / ETA updates
- Schedule changes and cancellations (weather, no-school days, etc.)
- Student boarding notifications (if enabled by the district)
- Account/security messages such as verification codes (if enabled)
Messages are informational and transactional only. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies by route activity and district settings (typically during AM/PM runs). You may receive multiple messages per day when service is active.
How you opt in
End users opt in by providing their mobile phone number and consenting during account setup or student enrollment in the Rural Route platform (as configured by their school district).
Consent call-to-action (CTA) example
Below is an example of the consent language presented to end users at the time they provide a phone number. The checkbox is optional and unchecked by default so the user can make an explicit choice.
